New Developments - Please Read!
Hello Shrimps...
We've got some movement on the league front! After much research, we've narrowed the options, and think we have two that are a pretty good fit.
One is played on Capitol Hill on Wednesday and Thursday nights 8:15 or 9:15 games (the registration has closed already, but it looks like they're short on teams - so we're trying to get in).

The other is through Metro Sports Leagues and here are the details:
Saturdays 2:00 - 5:00
Location Daingerfield Island
Start Date September 9th
7 games plus playoffs for qualifying teams
$525 per team

Either way, these are 7 on 7, which means we've got enough people to take the field, with plenty of subs. It's ideal for the Shrimps, since games are played on smaller fields, and the divisions seem to be more geared toward novices.
Please respond in the blog's comments section your availability for either of these leagues. We're trying to get an idea about who can be down on the roster as an official team member or who's willing to be an occasionally sub. Please try to get your name in ASAP so we can go ahead and sign up for the league-Monday at 8p.m. is the final deadline. If we don't hear from you, we'll put you on the sub list...
Also: we're close on the final T-shirts design!

Yes, it is bright pink, but pink is the new black and they will look very cool paired with white or black shorts. Intimidation factor = 11
Everyone who signs up to be on the official roster will be put down for a shirt. The cost is going to vary between 15-20 bucks depending on how many we order.
We're going to send out a total cost thing when we enter the league, so expect something between $70 - 120 for league entry fee, shirt and equiptment costs. ($120ish if we join the first league, $70ish if we join the second.
